Class Notes

FRIDAY MARCH 30, 2012
Today we worked in small groups using our context clues notes and a worksheet.  It was an eye-opening experience for some of us because we didn't realize how many of our context clues we use, or why.
After we finished that we worked independently on an exercise using context clues.  Our homework was to do #2 on page 232, but most of us finished it in class.  if you didn't finish it, then you need to do it over break.
We took our first look at our next book The Maoris. We learned how to pronounce it:  em-ouri as in ur or out. We located New Zealand on the map and discussed who wrote the book and looked at the maps in the book.  Please bring this book to class on the 10th.
We got our report cards for Literature and History.


Your assignments are:


Monday 9 April 2012
1. Pg. 232: #2 if you did not finish it in class.  File it.
2. Get report card signed and bring to class on Tuesday.
3. Bring The Maoris to class.
