Tuesday 13 March 2012
Today we reviewed what has been happening to Rolf and his family in the book The Story of Rolf and the Viking Bow. This book is full of the story elements we studied with the last book. The development of the characters is excellent. We worked on comprehension questions for this part of the story, but we didn't finish. So along with our next reading and vocabulary work, we have to finish the comprehension questions. That is why all you have to do on the vocabulary is to write the definitions.
Please, if you have not done so, tell your parents about the field trip to Parris Island to the Law Center then out to lunch at Backyard Burgers on March 21. Also, RSVP to Mrs. Stacks. RSVP means to let her know whether you are going or not! This field trip will help you comprehend the book about Rolf, also, since there is so much about the justice system of the people living on this island.
Your assignments are:
Wednesday 14 MArch 2012
1. Finish the comprehension questions on pages 5-40.
Read pages 41-77. Read up to chapter XX.
Thursday 15 MArch 2012
1. Vocabulary work: Just write the definition for each word.
2. Be able to answer the question: "What are the Ides of March? When is it? hint: (use the Internet!)
