Class Notes

Tuesday March 6, 2012
We reviewed "Ali Babba and the Forty Thieves" in class today.  What a tale!  There was so much gore and killings in this tale.  It makes you wonder what kind of girl Scheherazade was to think up these wild tales!  Then we started the tale of "Aladdin ; or The Woderful Lamp."  We had just gotten in to the tale when it was time for lunch.  This tale is a little long, that's why we read some of it in class.  At least you have a little background so you can follow this tale.  I wonder what he and his mother will receive from the lamp next?  They have gotten LOTS of food and Aladdin has gotten safely out of the cave so far. Don't forget to read the last tiny part at the end of your book.  This is the resolution to Scheherazade's conflict with the Sultan! It will bring closure to the story!  I hope you have enjoyed this little trip to the Medieval Far East and in to their cultures.  I think it has been interesting!
