I was disappointed in the fact that so few of you had the book in class. That is going to make some of very behind in your assignments. We went over Rolf and the Viking Bow and I read to you the first page so that you could see that the language was different from ours and from most of the work we have read. The book is not difficult, but you have to read it carefully.
There was way too much talking in class today and I know it stems from the fact that so few of you had your books. I hope you will strive to be quieter and more respectful of your neighbors from now on.
Your assignments are:
Monday 12 March 2012
1. Read Rolf.. pages 5-40. (My book does not have a contents page so I don't know what chapter this is. This is why you need to write down your homework from the board every day.)
2. As you read, underlinre the words from this list. Vocabulary Work: Write the page number where you first read the word. Write the sentence where the word first appears. Write the definition.
Note: I wrote the first one on the board for you. I hope you copied it down.
Order the next book: The Maoris by Charles Higham TODAY.
